VANCOUVER - FIRST MAJOR FAIR TRADE CITY IN CANADA!

After attending the Epic Show last weekend (http://www.epicvancouver.com/) and visiting the Fair Trade Pavilion, it is with pride that I call myself a Vancouverite. These amazing products and the beautiful stories behind them really need to be valued and supported by the world as a whole, and Vancouver is now the First major city in Canada to recognize this.

Natural, organic, environmentally friendly, and recycled are all words that attribute value to products in a market of conscious consumers. However, most Fair Trade products not only are characterized by these same qualities, but they also support communities, good manufacturing practices and sustainability.

On the morning of May 6th, Vancouver City Council voted unanimously to endorse the Fair Trade campaign. This huge success is the result of a very hard working group individuals and a community of supporting citizens who value the meaning of Fair Trade.
